Thriftwood Adventure Day

During their day at Thriftwood the Scouts did a series of time trials as teams and individually over the extensive obstacle course which included climbing crawling squeezing and running over various obstacles from cargo nets to tight tunnels. They then engaged them selves in the artificial climbing wall and experimented with two different routes one of which had overhanging sections. While on the climbing wall the Scouts also took the opportunity to home in their abseiling skills. Following a brief lunch and some team building exercises they engaged in raft building the two rafts that were constructed had different design features and build quality which became the deciding factor in the race that ensued around the island in the lake.

The day was enjoyed by all leaders included and the Scouts made the most of a good opportunity.
