- The
Scout organization is keen to recruit girls as well as boys into
Scout movement. While it is not mandatory, for practical purposes we need to
recruit a female leader before we can admit girls. The job is not as onerous
as many people fear and there is an enormous amount of help and assistance
available from what is still the largest youth movement in the World. It is
a lot of fun and I sometimes wonder who's enjoyed the evening more the Cubs
or me! If you would like to give it a try or come along and help out, please
let me know, thanks.
- Tuesday
07th November - Meet
18:30, Village Hall car park, we have booked the minibus again and are going
to Thriftwood Scout Campsite for the 3rd part of our “Cub
Navigator Activity Badge”. We will again return at 21:00.
- Saturday
11th November– Meet 09:00, Village Hall car park, we will
need a few parents to help out with lifts please (we only have one volunteer
at present) to Thiftwood Scout Camp, in Brentwood (the minibus is
unavailable) to complete the final part of our “Cub Navigator Activity
Badge”. The Cubs will go to Thriftwood with Ann Davis and I will meet
them there later. Following this session you will (hopefully) never be lost
again, having a fully trained “Cub Navigator” in the family!

Service.
- Tuesday
14th November - Village Hall meeting 18:45 to 19:45.
